Painting is a tool that I use to regain control in my life. It allows me to do the one thing I love most, and the one thing I do best, create.

I was raised to believe that being creative was a luxury. Constantly feeling the pressure to find something “more professional” to do with my life. Painting - thats nothing but a hobby, at best!

So I listened, and it led me down a path of frustration, remorse, jealously and constant failure. I made the mistake of listening to others and trying to please them, instead of listening to myself and following my passion.

I lost my way. I lost myself, but through painting I regain that control once more.
