60” × 48” Diptych
(Each piece is 30” x 48”)
Acrylic on Canvas
The Plan of San Diego explores labor, destruction, and endurance through a restrained cinematic lens. Built around themes of movement, pressure, and consequence, the piece captures a quiet moment unfolding beside the weight of something much larger in the distance.
Minimal in composition but emotionally charged, the work reflects Carlos Flores Jr.’s ongoing interest in the tension between ordinary life and the forces that shape it. Designed to command space without overwhelming it, the diptych was created to function both as a standalone visual statement and as part of a larger body of narrative-driven work.
