The Bees-Nees - Framed Print

$95.00

The Bee’s Knees (Mural)
Limited Edition Framed Print — Edition of 25

16” × 20” (Horizontal)

Inspired by the film Pineapple Express, portraying the actor Bill Hader.

The Bee’s Knees was painted across a modest building in Dallas and built around a quieter kind of confidence. The kind carried through posture, restraint, and presence. The figure emerges from deep black geometry almost like a memory surfacing through shadow, interrupted only by bold red bands that cut across the structure like warning signs or signals from another era.

There’s a tension between the monumental and the everyday here. A cinematic portrait stretched across an ordinary wall. Elegance against rough architecture. Public art becoming something deeply personal depending on who happens to pass by.

The monochrome palette gives the piece a timeless stillness while the red introduces rhythm, heat, and confrontation. Reimagined as a framed print, the work shifts from mural-scale spectacle into something more intimate without losing its weight.

Part of a limited release revisiting landmark mural works while refining them into a more distilled visual language rooted in contrast, atmosphere, and form.

Only 25 will be produced.
